Currents Staff Needs
a) Sembradores de iglesias
Plantar una iglesia en uno de los 18 grupos étnicos no alcanzados de "alta prioridad" en el estado de Oaxaca. Requiere la disposición para hacer un compromiso a largo plazo a esa etnia, viviendo con ellos y aprendiendo su idioma.
a) Church Planters. To plant a church among one of the 18 "high-priority" unreached people groups in the state of Oaxaca. This requires the willingness to make a long-term commitment to this people group, living among them and learning the indigenous language. Need to speak some Spanish.
b) Personal para Equipo Móvil
Ayudar a los cristianos indígenas a evangelizar sus propias etnias, enfocándose en los 32 grupos no alcanzados de "media prioridad" en el estado de Oaxaca. Según la petición de esos cristianos indígenas, este equipo ayudará con varias formas del evangelismo. Podrían llevar a cabo un seminario sobre el evangelismo con los cristianos indígenas. Podrían ayudar en campañas de evangelismo, pasando la película de "Jesús", predicando, haciendo dramas o moppets, etc. Podrían enseñar prácticas básicas de higiene y salud o llevar a cabo brigadas médicas. Podrían distribuir Biblias y cassettes. ¡Hay MUCHAS posibilidades! Requiere humildad, flexibilidad y la disposición de viajar como lo hace la gente.
b) Mobile Team members. To help the Indigenous Christians to evangelize their own people groups, focusing on the 32 "middle-priority" unreached groups of Oaxaca. According to the request of these Indigenous Christians, this team will assist in various forms of evangelism. They may host an evangelism seminar with the Indigenous Christians. They may help in evangelism campaigns by showing the "JESUS" movie, preaching, dramas, or puppets. They may use primary health care teaching or clinics. They may teach English as a second language. Perhaps they would distribute Bibles and cassettes. There are MANY possibilities! This requires humility, flexibility, and a willingness to travel like the people do. Need to speak some Spanish.
c) Personal de Equipo de Investigación
Año tras año la situacion Espiritual, Politica, Economica, Social, etc. de cada comunidad cambia, es por ello la importancia de mantener al dia los cambios que sufren las comunidades en Oaxaca. Realizar viajes hast de 8 horas en vehiculo y otras cuantas a pie es dificil de hacerlo, por ello se requiere de personas con un llamado a servir.
 c) Research Team Staff. Year after year the Spiritual, Political, Economical, Social, etc. situation of each community changes, which is why it is important to stay up to date on the changes that the communities of Oaxaca suffer. You would make trips of up to 8 hours in vehicle and others on foot. It is difficult, and therefore it is necessary to have people with a call to serve
d) Evangelistas y Discipuladores
Existe mucha necesidad de personas que les guste compartir las buenas nuevas y no solo eso, sino que esten dispuestos a invertir tiempo en discipular a nuevos creyentes. Muchas comunidades no cuentan con iglesias cristianas y muchas otras solo tienen un pequeño grupo de creyentes, pero necesitan de alguien que les enseñe como hacer las cosas y de tal forma que puedan ser iglesias misioneras autoreproductoras. En algunos casos se necesita vivir en las comunidades y haber tenido entrenamiento bíblico sería de ayuda.
d) Discipleship workers and Evangelists. There is a great need for people who like to share the good news and, even more, who are willing to invest time to disciple new believers. Many communities do not have Christian churches and many others have only a small group of believers, but they need someone to teach them how to do things in such a way as to become self-reproducing missionary churches. In some cases it is necessary to live in the communities. Previous biblical training would be helpful.
e) Coordinador de los Equipos a Corto Plazo
Coordinar las actividades de los equipos misioneros (médico, construcción, dental, desarrollo comunitario, etc.) que vienen a corto plazo para ayudarnos en alcanzar las etnias de Oaxaca. Involucra el ir adelante para arreglar el trabajo del equipo, el relacionarse con los líderes del equipo y el acompañar el equipo durante su estancia en Oaxaca. Son de ayuda habilidades administrativas, una actitud amigable y la paciencia, así como habilidades en construcción.
e) Coordinator of Short-term Teams. To coordinate activities for the short-term outreach teams (medical, construction, dental, community development, etc.) which come to help us in reaching the people groups of Oaxaca. This would involve the advance work of set-up in the villages, interacting with the outreach leaders, and hosting the team while on site. Administrative ability, a friendly attitude, and patience are all helpful! Also, a person with construction skills would be helpful.
f) Personal para la Escuela de Misiones Fronterizas (EMF), Escuela de Discipulado y Entrenamiento Misionero (EDE) y Escuela de Verano(EV)
Ayudar en entrenar misioneros latinos en las diferentes escuelas, preparándolos para plantar iglesias en situaciones pioneras (en la India, el norte de Africa, etc.). Se necesitan un(a) administrador(a) y maestros capacitados.

f) SoFM, DTS staff. Help to train Latin missionaries in various schools for church planting in pioneer situations (for India, North Africa, etc.). An administrator and teachers who know some Spanish are needed.
g) Promotor/movilizador
Dar a conocer las necesidades en Oaxaca y en el mundo, "tocando la trompeta" para la causa de las etnias no alcanzadas. Puede involucrar uno o más de los siguientes: Escribir a o hablar con gente que pueda hacer una diferencia; animar a iglesias, denominaciones o agencias misioneras a que se enfoquen en los no alcanzados; coordinar las adopciones de las etnias no alcanzadas; producir materiales para distribución. Es de ayuda el poder comunicarse con facilidad. Elaborar revista mensual sobre las necesidades específicas de las iglesias en los grupos
g) Promoter/mobilizer. To make known the needs in Oaxaca and the world, "blowing the trumpet" for the sake of the unreached peoples! This may entail any or all of the following: Writing or speaking to people who can make a difference; encouraging churches, denominations, or mission agencies to target the unreached; coordinating the "adoptions" of unreached people groups; producing materials for distribution. Communication and Spanish ability are helpful.
h) Personal de Hijos del Rey (Kings Kids)
Entrenar misioneros mientras sean todavía niños y adolescentes con Hijos del Rey en la ciudad y el estado de Oaxaca.
h) King's Kids staff. Train missionaries while they're still children and teenagers with King's Kids in Oaxaca City and state.

i) Personal de Hospitalidad
Ministrar el don de hospitalidad a las muchas visitas (líderes indígenas, misioneros, etc.) que llegan a la base de JUCUM en la ciudad de Oaxaca. Incluye preparar el alojamiento y la alimentación para las visitas y ayudarlas a llevar a cabo sus tareas en la ciudad. Requiere benignidad, habilidades en la casa y la habilidad de escuchar.

Nota: Algunos de estos trabajos no son de tiempo completo y pueden combinarse con otros.


i) Hospitality. To minister the gift of hospitality to the many different visitors (Indian leaders, missionaries, etc.) who come to our Oaxaca City YWAM base. This would include preparing the guest's housing and food and helping them accomplish their business in the city. Requires homemaking, kindness, and listening skills!

Note: Some of these jobs are not full-time and could be done in coordination with other tasks.
Spanish: A good Spanish school is located in Oaxaca City.
